BMW X4
Hace ya un tiempo (más precisamente, desde la salida del BMW X6) que se viene hablando de la futura aparición del BMW X4, por lo que la llegada de algunas novedades es algo casi natural. Hasta el momento no había información oficial de ningún tipo y todo se limitaba a algunos rumores perdidos, pero esta vez la situación es otra.
Aparentemente, el BMW X4 tendría más en común con el X6 que con el X5 o el X3, ya que seguiría en su misma línea de agilidad y diseño moderno, definiéndose claramente como un coche de tipo SUV. Según casi todas las especulaciones, contaría únicamente con dos puertas bastante amplias, una carrocería más ancha que el promedio y una altura sobre el suelo bastante baja.
Teóricamente, mostraría algunos parecidos con lo que podríamos denominar su gran competidor natural, el Porsche Cajun, también en proceso de desarrollo. Y para quienes tengan alguna duda al respecto, vaya la aclaración de la misma BMW, que citó el lanzamiento de dicho modelo como un incentivo para seguir trabajando sobre el X4.
Finalmente, cabe destacar que la mayoría especula con una motorización tanto a gasolina como diesel, todos de 4 y 6 cilindros, todas ellas acompañadas por una caja manual de seis cambios o una caja automática siete u ocho cambios. A pesar de que ya han pasado cuatro años desde los primeros bocetos, no se vería al BMW X4 en las calles hasta el año 2014.
