El Corolla Sedán, uno de los coches más exitosos de Toyota y portador de una historia bastante notable dentro del mundo automotor, está de vuelta en Europa con unas cuantas novedades para analizar. Dentro de la cabina, las modificaciones más importantes se implementaron sobre la consola, los controles, detalles estéticos, el instrumental de control y el mismo volante.

Toyota ha dispuesto una buena variedad de motorizaciones para el Corolla Sedán, compuesta básicamente por dos unidades Diesel y tres a gasolina. El primer grupo se compone de un motor 1.4 litros D-4D de 90 CV y un motor 2.0 litros D-4D de 126 CV, mientras que el segundo encierra un 1.3 litros VVT-i Dual de 100 CV, un 1.6 VVT-i Dual de 122 CV y un 1.6 litros Valvematic de 132 CV.

En todos los motores habrá una serie de ajustes técnicos, destinados cumplir con la norma ambiental Euro 5, incluyendo esto la incorporación de la tecnología Optimal Drive. Por ejemplo, el motor a gasolina 1.3 litros es exactamente el mismo que se ha incorporado en el Toyota Yaris y el Toyota Auris, con sistema Stop & Start System, y un consumo medio de 5.7 litros cada 100 km, acompañado por emisiones de 133g/km de CO2.
